About Nepal

Trekking to Everest Base Camp is a dream for many adventure seekers. However, proper preparation is the difference between a life-changing experience and a difficult struggle.
1. Train Your Cardio Early
Training for the EBC trek should start at least 3 months before your departure. Focus on endurance and leg strength. Hiking on local trails with a loaded backpack is the best way to simulate the conditions of the Himalayas.
2. Hydration is Key
Altitude sickness is often exacerbated by dehydration. Aim to drink 4-5 liters of water daily. Use water purification tablets or a LifeStraw to ensure your water source is safe from contaminants.

3. Respect the Local Culture
You will pass through many Mani stones and prayer wheels. Always walk to the left of these sacred objects. Learning a few Sherpa phrases like “Tashi Delek” goes a long way in building rapport with locals.
